Does your dog lack focus when out and about? Do you struggle to keep your dog engaged with you? or does your dog go 'over the top' and bark excessively, rag your clothing, nip at you?
If so this course is for you. Focus is a key skill that our dogs need to learn; if they aren't focussing on you then they are not engaged or listening to you. This course works on developing offered focus from your dog (different to teaching a 'watch me') in a variety of difference environments through games.
Dogs also need to learn to control their excitement levels so that they don't lose the ability to think. Self-control is not the same as motivation; it is perfectly possible to have a very motivated dog that has great self-control and these dogs are a joy to work with.
The course will develop self-control through a variety of games which gradually increase arousal levels so that the dogs can learn to self calm, rather than us trying to enforce self-control. Games utlise food, toys and play with the owner.
The course is delivered through 8 weekly lessons. Each week contains several exercises as well as downloadable resources, videos, tasks and quizzes. Participants are encouraged to post their own videos so that feedback can be given.
Cost is £80. Do you and your dog a favour and book now!
